The invitation within the adventure

Perhaps you already know.

You may be at a point in your life where you’re ready for something different. You can feel there is more you want to experience, more of yourself you want to reconnect with, and more life you want to actually live.

You want beauty, adventure, depth, joy, meaningful connection and the space to step outside of the life you know for long enough to see what else might be possible.

01 · Somewhere else entirely

Madagascar,
experienced differently.

Over eight days, we’ll move between two beautiful private island lodges, one reached by boat and surrounded by the wild beauty of Nosy Komba.

There will be mornings swimming alongside green turtles, an ocean safari in search of dolphins, rainforest explored with people who know its stories, encounters with lemurs in the wild, and time beneath a sacred baobab tree. We’ll share beautiful meals in places most travellers never see, spend time with local communities, visit a village school, and experience Madagascar through the people who call it home.

And woven through it all will be The Unbecoming Journey®: sister circles, conversations, reflection, laughter, rest, courage and the space to remember.

02 · The thread through it all

This is what makes it Dream Catcher.

Every Dream Catcher experience is guided by The Unbecoming Journey®. The Five R’s connect the outer adventure with the inner journey, not as a programme to complete, but as a quiet thread running through our eight days together.

Recognise

To see, perhaps more clearly than before, the stories, roles and expectations that have been shaping the way you live.

03 · The Dream Catcher difference

The journey is held
in the details.

This is not something added around the destination. It is the way the entire experience is held: before we leave home, throughout our time together, and after we return.

I

Space is part of the journey

We don’t fill every hour. There is time to rest, journal, swim, have the conversations that happen naturally, or simply enjoy where you are. Sometimes what happens between the planned moments matters just as much as what we came to experience.

II

A sisterhood that sees you

Our retreats intentionally remain small, creating space for genuine connection. We will meet online before Madagascar so that, by the time we arrive, the connection has already begun. Shared experiences and sister circles create space to be witnessed, supported and deeply connected to the women walking alongside you.

III

Meaningful cultural connection

We do not simply visit a destination; we seek to know something of its people, stories and way of life. Through local guides, shared meals, community encounters and time beyond the usual tourist path, Madagascar becomes something we come to know, not simply somewhere we visit.

IV

Giving back with intention

Connection also means contribution. We will spend time with a local community school and create opportunities to give in ways that are useful, respectful and rooted in what the community actually needs.

V

The journey continues

The retreat may come to an end, but The Unbecoming Journey® does not. There will be space afterwards to reflect on what has shifted, stay connected to the sisterhood and carry what you have discovered into everyday life.

04 · How the journey unfolds

Adventure and stillness.
Connection and solitude.

The retreat unfolds through conversations that stay with you, experiences that invite you somewhere deeper, and the unexpected moments that happen when you step outside everyday life. This is a rhythm rather than a rigid itinerary.

Arrival

We begin around HER table.

Our first evening opens the circle and begins our time together in Madagascar: arriving, exhaling and meeting the women with whom the next eight days will unfold.

05 · Two islands, two rhythms

Where we’ll stay

Our eight days are shared between two private island lodges, each offering a different side of Madagascar. Both lodges will be exclusively ours.

06 · Held with intention

Held by Akua.

Akua is the founder of Dream Catcher Global and the creator of The Unbecoming Journey®. She will hold this experience from the first pre-retreat gathering through our eight days in Madagascar and into the space that follows our return.

Every element is thoughtfully curated: the rhythm, the conversations, the places we enter and the moments left intentionally unfilled. In Madagascar, trusted local guides and hosts will bring us closer to the land, the water and the stories of the people who call it home.

Each guest is responsible for a valid passport, entry requirements and comprehensive travel insurance. The journey includes boat transfers, ocean experiences and walking on natural terrain. After your place is confirmed, you will receive the essential information needed first. A detailed, regularly updated travel guide and FAQs will then be shared in stages as the retreat approaches, together with timely email updates and requests for practical information such as flights, dietary requirements and emergency contacts.

Booking, cancellation and refund terms

Submitting an application does not reserve a place and no payment is taken at this stage. Akua will personally review each application. Some women will be invited to a short private conversation; returning Dream Catcher guests may not require one. If you are offered a place, you will receive the complete booking, payment, cancellation and refund terms to review and accept, together with the deposit link. Your place is secured only after the signed terms and deposit are received.

Begin your return.

Twelve places. Two islands. Eight days held with intention.

There is one application. No preliminary form and no payment at this stage. Your answers are read personally by Akua and help her understand who is arriving, what each woman may need and how to hold the experience with care.

Allow around ten minutes. If the application feels aligned, the next step may be a private Zoom conversation. Returning Dream Catcher guests may not require one.

About you

Let’s begin with the details we need to stay in touch.

Your city and country help us plan the pre-retreat group call across time zones.

Why Madagascar, why now?

There is no answer we are looking for. We simply want to understand what is calling you.

What you’re arriving with

These questions help Akua meet the women who are actually coming, rather than delivering a retreat designed for an imagined group.

What would help Akua hold this with care?

Share only what feels relevant at this stage. More detailed travel information will be gathered after acceptance.

This helps us prepare the right booking information and does not commit you to an option.

What happens next

Akua will review your application personally. If it feels aligned, new guests will usually be invited to a short Zoom conversation. If you have travelled with Dream Catcher before, a conversation may not be necessary. If you are offered a place, you will then receive the complete booking terms and deposit link.
